About Playskool
Playskool Learning Center is open daily to children ages 6 weeks to school-age, and we offer an after-school and summer program to school-aged children. Our focus is to give children enriching opportunities to develop through both child-directed play experiences and curriculum time. We believe children learn best through play and a structured curriculum because it enhances growth and development in all areas: physically, socially, emotionally, creatively, and intellectually. We strive to ensure that the moment you enter our doors, we reflect a child-friendly, fun, and educational environment.

Our Philosophy
At Playskool Learning Center we believe that play is the primary mode of learning and that daycare should be fun and filled with daily learning experiences. Early learning skills start from the beginning it can be achieved through a variety of hands-on activities. Our daily activities include both planned activities and spontaneous learning which is centered on the children's interests and abilities. We present information through games and activities that will engage each child. Our daily routine includes art, language, math, science, pretend-play, music, and movement, to create fun and variety.
Our goal is to expose children to both indoor and outdoor play. We provide flexibility in our routine both as a group and as individuals to meet the needs of every child within our program. All of our activities and routines are designed to create a self-image for the children while creating a positive and safe environment as they develop their abilities to care for themselves and interact with the world around them.

Infants | 8 weeks to 12 months
Our infant program serves children from 8 weeks of age through 12 months. We believe that learning begins at birth. Our environment is designed to provide a safe, happy place for your child where they can grow and develop at their own pace. Babies eat, sleep and play according to individual needs, helping them to feel safe and develop to their full potential. We understand that child development begins early and our staff is focused on facilitating learning at the earliest stage, which is what separates us from other child care facilities.
Toddlers | 12 months to 3 yrs
Our toddler program is designed for children 12 months to 35 months of age. We focus on creating a learning environment for this age group based on play while introducing them to science, art, music and language. At this age, children are sensory-motivated. They learn through touching, tasting, seeing and smelling as well as listening to others. Our goal is to enhance education by utilizing the natural curiosity of the toddler and to teach them that learning can be fun. Our staff is committed to creatively designing a fun-filled curriculum and learning environment for each child based on their unique needs and personalities.
Preschoolers | 3+ yrs
Preschool age children are exploring their worlds, and learning about boundaries and independence. At Playskool Learning Center, we work to foster an environment where children headed to preschool learn in a safe, fun way. Our staff will help prepare your child for school by providing the foundational building blocks for lifelong learning. We work with the parents and Headstart to develop learning opportunities that are geared towards the child’s interests and personality. Our goal at Playskool Learning Academy is to help your child develop into a well-rounded person who not only excels in the classroom once they leave our program, but in the world as they go through life.
